Andy Cross

A self-proclaimed "hermit with wanderlust," Andy Cross draws equally from world history, spirituality, mass media and his own travels. Never homogenous, his richly layered compositions dissolve boundaries between stylistic categories as well as structural barriers between painting, installation and sculpture.

Andy Cross (b. 1979) grew up near Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia and now lives and works in Brooklyn. Cross' work has been the subject of multiple solo exhibitions including in Reggio Emilia, Italy, NYC and Boston. Cross teaches painting and drawing for the City University of New York.
